Maintenance News for April 2011
Wow, hopefully spring is here for good!!!! I just want to update everyone on some projects underway. I know there has been some concern from a few members. The 11th ladies tee box at the Hills course and the 2 green side slope at the Calvert course are still underway. The reason they are not finished is because our sod producer has been unable to get his grass cut because of rain. They have had a couple of three inch rains that has put them behind on delivery.
Winter Course Maintenance
Happy Holidays from Southern Pines Maintenance Crews! Winter months are on the way. Wet conditions limit our course improvements that we try to accomplish through the winter. We have been able to trim a few trees and you may have noticed a few trees missing as well. Trees do provide comfortable shade in the summer, howev
